Around the nation, people are noticing there is something special going on with Dallas Catholic education. With enrollment up, many are enthusiastic to support our HALO 139 pilot program that is bringing new young families to our Catholic schools. We are making it easy to try Catholic schools, because research shows that once they find out how excellent the experience is and how valued they feel in the community, students and their families stay throughout their elementary education.
We are grateful for the donations and early investments that are helping make it possible for 139 new children to attend one of five pilot schools in the program. Donors recognize that their gift helps pay half of their tuition for the first two years, and makes a meaningful impact in two areas:
- 139 children are receiving the benefits of Catholic education for the first time, and learning how it can provide a lifetime of advantages and positively change the trajectory of a child's life and that of his/her family forever.
- Great return! - Every $1M donated to HALO 139 will return $3M to $5M (or more) to the schools through tuition payments from our new HALO 139 families. The added tuition they pay will be revenue for the these schools for years to come.
Unlike many Catholic schools across the country that are struggling, we are leaning in on growth and making more families aware that we have something special here. While our schools do still have challenges, we have supportive, open-minded leaders, a generous community of Catholic school supporters, and principals and teachers who continually work to improve the quality of instruction and the culture in their schools. There is also an independent group (that's us, The HALO Initiative!) that comes alongside the Catholic Schools Office with fresh resources to help make programs like HALO 139 a reality.
Thank you for your support to reach more families and allow them to see the difference a Catholic education makes for their child.
