To our online extended family, friends, viewers, donors and supporters
welcome to the FDDR newsletter #20.
When spring comes around it “springs,” new, growing and winter-dormant things burst forth.
Yes spring has sprung and we are totally in awe with nature and what it does with every cycle of a season. May this cycle of events never change and may our work to feed a hungry world remain our calling.
The coming of springtime has always been an uplift to us and our spirits. Yes we struggled through the winter coldness the last few months but now it is like a wonder when Spring is about to start. One can smell the blooms that flourish in the spring.
The coming of spring means so much more than just "April Showers bring May Flowers. It means that once again we can breathe in life, and look outside and see that life beginning anew. Warmer temperatures mean you can spend more time outside without freezing your feet off, which is great for mental health. Across the seasons, research has found that taking walks in nature slows your heart rate and makes you more relaxed, but some research indicates that there is something special about spring's effect on your brain. A 2005 study from the University of Michigan linked spending 30 minutes or more outside in warm, sunny spring weather to higher mood and better memory. So go for it, enjoy Spring.
To all FDDR supporters/followers it seems so small, saying just “thank you” for so much help and support, from all that cook, sponsor, work behind the scene, those that help on ZIGGY the bus, to those that watch, share our message with their friends and send us uplifting messages, but it is the best we can come up with.
Our thank you is heartfelt, full of admiration, respect, and appreciation for your never ending support, in any way, support that makes it possible for FDDR to help so many in need.
Often we hear what can I do to help, I do not have much means! Helping can be done in so many ways, like give someone a helping hand. It is about simple things like holding the door for someone, be a happy person, a person others like to be around. Set some goals for yourself and then dedicate yourself to achieving them. Oh, and let’s try to put Luck’s cousin, Wish, on a time-out while we’re at it. It’s far more rewarding to make things happen yourself instead of wishing for luck.
We are really blessed with all the help we receive from you! You are the most valued part of our organization because without you none of this could happen. Thank you all for your Support of FDDR.
The lives from many get changed for the better thanks to your help and we can not do it without your continuous support.
Every little bit you do helps so much, even just sharing our page and live feeds.
