To our online family, friends, viewers, and supporters welcome to the FDDR newsletter #15.

The people we serve have lost so much. Some lost loved ones to COVID-19. Some have lost their job, others lost their home and so many can't afford basic necessities. Food insecurity is a massive growing problem everywhere!

We owe to help them and be a source of comfort. That is what we do.

We at FDDR like to look at what we did so far with your help! We have to make a bigger effort now more then ever and work longer to make it happen. But we love this and know we can succeed with your support! The need of help is growing!

Thank you to all who have helped us with keeping this organization operating. To all the cooks who have prepared a meal. You have helped feed someone who was hungry. To all the donors who have dropped off, mailed or made a donation on line. You have helped provide warmth and comfort to someone in need. To all the viewers who watch and share our videos. You help spread the word and are bring an awareness of the ever growing need. To all we say Thank you and remind you all that..You are the most valued part of this organization because without you none of this could happen. Thank you all for your Support of FDDR., 𝓣𝓱𝓪𝓷𝓴 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓿𝓮𝓻𝔂 𝓶𝓾𝓬𝓱!

The lives from many get changed for the better thanks to your help and we can not do it without your continuous support.

-------------------

The pandemic numbers keep going up and sadly every day we see more and more hungry people on the streets in need of a meal and help.

So our focus now is on hunger, food insecure people and the upcoming colder days and yes winter that will be here very, very soon.

We serve between 180-200 meals (lately even higher) a day and we run out of food to hand out almost EVERY DAY. That is why your donations, support and active help is needed more then ever.

In October alone FDDR handed out 5,000 ,YES Five Thousand, meals to the hungry people in SW Detroit and Downriver!

If you live close and are able to make an add-on meal any day please let us know (FDDR2day@gmail.com) and we can arrange to get your meal to those that need it. Any number will do 10, 20 or more!

You can make whatever meal that works for you like 2 sandwiches, mac & cheese, sloppy Joes, hot dogs, pasta dinner spaghetti/ mostaciolli, etc. We can help you with packaging or ingredients from our small pantry if needed.

Moderator Corner

Welcome to the POD from the MOD!

Here we will discuss all things having to do with the FDDR video feed.  We encourage you to submit any questions you may have.

Happy November FDDR family!

I pray everyone is staying safe and healthy. I want to say thank you for taking the time to check out our monthly newsletter. I can't believe how fast the weather is changing. It's starting to get cold outside especially at night.

We are in need of Men's winter clothes, coats, boots, hand warmers, hats, gloves, blankets, tents anything to keep our extended family warm and safe this winter. Any donation is so beyond grateful. No donation is to small.

Also this month on the 19th I will be celebrating One year as a moderator for FDDR.

I absolutely love being a moderator. I love being a part of an amazing team. FDDR became my 2nd family and I have made a lot of new friends from all over the world. Seeing everyone come together to help those in need warms my heart ❤.

The one major thing that myself and the other moderators ask is that we keep the comments positive. We never know who may be watching our live. We do have kids (including mine) who watch and some of our extended family on the street watches. We never know how someone is feeling from day to day. Our extended families are in survival mode and they are cold and hungry. They do ask for things they need to stay alive. Because they do not have a dresser to pick an outfit out of, or a fridge to get food from or even a warm place that has heat. They are outside in the weather all day and night. We just ask that you don't judge.

𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐮𝐩 !!

We appreciate all the love and support you show FDDR. Without each and everyone of you this couldn't be possible. If you are local and would love to help cook please let us know, we are in need of cooks . The days that the meal-train is empty Mat & Rose cook for that day along with doing everything else for FDDR and getting Ziggy ready to come out for the day. So if we could take some stress off of them by cooking that would help so much.

I do thank you for taking the time to read our newsletter and for always being with us.

God Bless and Stay Safe .

Much Love: Lizz

Often we receive the questions

- How can we help FDDR?

- Where can I find help for me and my family?

Here are several websites/places where you will find help with food, housing, and much more. Most services are Michigan related but many are also available in other regions of the USA.

We also include how you can help and or support FDDR.
