Exhibition Highlights

I am beyond excited that our exhibition

at the beautiful Heriot Galllery

in Edinburgh’s Dundas Street,

is

NOW OPEN!

The gallery is showcasing the work of eight current & past students of Edinburgh Atelier.

It is a diverse and quirky collection with so much to enjoy; from refined renaissance-style drawings to vibrant oil paintings.

One of my ‘Marigold’ paintings has already sold and there is plenty more to see

with everything for sale;

so please drop in and have a peep.

We are open throughout October

until 2nd November

Coming Soon

MK Gallery will soon be hosting a major exhibition of work by Vanessa Bell (1879–1961); a pioneering painter and founding member of the Bloomsbury Group.

The exhibition is her largest-ever solo show and will include drawings, paintings, ceramics and furniture.

I have just returned from invigilating at the Press Preview so have been treated to an early viewing.

It is a fascinating and beautiful exhibition and I am really looking forward to spending more time volunteering in the gallery and absorbing the work on display over the coming weeks.

The exhibition runs from 19th October until 23rd February.

MK Gallery is in the centre of Milton Keynes adjacent to the theatre.

The gallery is always recruiting more eager volunteers if you are interested.

FYI - there is a café and very nicely curated gift shop too.

Behind The Scenes

Behind every great exhibition, there is someone up a ladder

...and massive team effort!

I do love a bit of teamwork and it was great to be asked to join the lovely team of minions helping to hang the

Oxford Art Society Open Exhibition

at St John’s College last month.

It was a beautiful September day, great fun & so useful to get a handle on the practicalities of hanging such a large number of pictures; also quite a 'workout'!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to make the exhibition such a success.

Thank you too to everyone who visited our exhibition

at

the National Trust Stowe landscape Gardens

35 of us exhibited across two venues.

It was so nice to catch up with visiting friends and,

as always, spark interesting conversations with

a diverse group of art-curious visitors... and their dogs.

A Final Note

After my skirmish with breast cancer this summer & brief 'health detour', I'm very grateful to have been part of these exhibitions, both as a volunteer and exhibitor - a true testament to the support from my remarkable friends and family & the treatment I've received.

Thank you all so much for your encouragement and inspiration and for following my work.

This summer in particular, your empathy, friendship and kind messages have been invaluable and so very much appreciated.

Wishing you a warm and vibrant, art-filled autumn

Caroline
