Sushi Note offers masterful sushi creations partnered with a curated wine list, inspired to bring a new level of enjoyment to this classic Japanese cuisine. Their exquisitely crafted dishes are sourced from a supplemental rotating Japanese Market Fish Menu which prides itself on seasonality and freshness. Omasake presents an intimate culinary experience between chef and guest, deeply flavored by the unsurpassable quality of its ingredients with the unique |

sense of its Chef’s gastronomic artistry and present inspiration. This tailored experience centers around precision, presentation, and experimentation, literally translating to the Japanese phrase, “I leave it up to you.” When a guest enters an omasake setting, they leave themselves to the hands of culinary excellence at its most precise and otherworldly, defined by the sheer simplicity and authenticity of its food solely intended for their guest’s sensory experience. |
In many ways, omakase is a spiritual companion and counterpoint to kaiseki, the elaborate multi-course Japanese meal built around seasonality, quality ingredients and simple preparations. However, kaiseki is a more formal and fixed experience, with a specific ebb and flow to its courses. In contrast, omakase changes with each occasion and guest, the chef at full liberty to choose menu items mid-course in accordance to preference. Omakase, in a way, is a marriage between experience and experiencer, lending itself to the tastes and preferences of its chosen guest through its distinct form of tireless dedication to culinary excellence. To experience omakase is to encounter the very soul of diligence and artistry married into one, delectable bite. Think Traditional, Elegant, Delicious. |

Gloria L. Williams is a legend in the pedicure world. Voted Best Pedicurist in Beverly Hills, her products are listed on Oprah's Favorite Things of 2022, and her clientele is studded with A-List celebrities including Oprah herself. To those who know her, Gloria is a celebrity in her field. Gloria credits her inspiration to her Mother, who grew up in Alabama. When someone didn't feel well, she recalls watching her Mother give them a good old fashioned "rub down”. Gloria recounts, “I paid close attention to Mamma, who would take me along to help sick and elderly neighbours, as well as members of our own family, just about anyone who needed a rub down. |
The true meaning of tender love & care is touch. I watched Mamma, mimicking her technique and quickly became her second set of hands. My Mother believed that certain foods, oils, and teas played a crucial roll in the overall recovery of a person's ailments. She swore by the wellness healing process. Mamma would mix luxurious creams, ointments and oils, which we would then use to do the Old Fashioned Rub Down on those in need of a loving touch.” Today, Gloria uses these techniques at her specially created Footnanny Foot Spa at the Rodeo Collection. Here, you can enjoy a luxurious and full treatment by Gloria herself. Her state of the art spa offers cutting- edge technology in a relaxing environment equipped with custom-made pedicure chairs, air purifiers, and an aromatherapy scent. Wondering how far cutting-edge goes? Gloria doesn’t leave us wondering. ”I am one of the first salons in Beverly Hills to offer a complete foot analysis using a high-tech Aetrex 3D foot scanner that will indicate where my clients would be prone to foot discomfort or pain. Then I can provide my clients with customized treatments and products for better health and wellness.” Gloria combines technology with her Mother’s inspired touch to create incredibly precise and individualized services, oriented uniquely for each client she works with. It is clear that her Mother’s “Tender Love and Care” lies at the essence of her work. Here, it’s not about servicing the most people, its about making each service count. But when Gloria’s services are that good, her list of clientele can’t help but be long. Gloria is all booked through December, so hurry and book yourself some foot heaven for the New Year. After all, what’s better than prancing through the New Year on feet that are as good as new? Book first, thank us later! |

The Hannukah Miracle According to the Talmud, one of Judaism’s most central texts, Judah Maccabee and the other Jews who took part in the rededication of the Second Temple witnessed what they believed to be a miracle. Even though there was only enough untainted olive oil to keep the menorah’s candles burning for a single day, the flames continued flickering for eight nights, leaving them time to find a fresh supply. This wondrous event inspired the Jewish sages to proclaim a yearly eight-day festival. (The first Book of the Maccabees tells another version of the story, describing an eight-day celebration that followed the rededication but making no reference to the miracle of the oil.) |

Origins Of Christmas The origins of Christmas stem from both the pagan and Roman cultures. The Romans actually celebrated two holidays in the month of December. The first was Saturnalia, which was a two-week festival honoring their god of agriculture Saturn. On December 25th, they celebrated the birth of Mithra, their sun god. Both celebrations were raucous, drunken parties. Also in December, in which the darkest day of the year falls, the pagan cultures lit bonfires and candles to keep the darkness at bay. The Romans also incorporated this tradition into their own celebrations. As Christianity spread across Europe, the Christian clergy were not able to curb the pagan customs and celebrations. Since no one knew Jesus’s date of birth, they adapted the pagan ritual into a celebration of His birthday. |
