Hello my loves,

Wow May completely crushed me! From packing, to the move, to a new home for the summer, losing our sweet Lola and some other family things, I just felt like I kept getting knocked down. So I withdrew a bit and did the things I know help me.

For me it's making sure I was getting sleep, eating whole foods, drinking a LOT of water and making sure I took my epsom salt bath almost every night. I've also been doing some light workouts (time to step it up this month!) on the Melissa Wood Health app.

Listening to what I needed and actually doing it is hard for me but I am so happy I did. Do you know the things you have to do to bring you joy? The things that will help you get out of a funk?

(Here is a post on easing my anxiety during a pandemic.)

A few weeks ago I took the girls to the Wildlife Sanctuary in Ipswich and it was wonderful. I cannot wait to take them again soon.

Some tips, pay for parking/reserve your entrance fee ahead of time on there website, bring bird seed to offer to the friendly black capped chickadees, they came right to our hands!! Bring a blanket and a picnic lunch, there were so many great spots to sit, sketch and snack. Not a lot of shade so be sure to bring a hat (I love this foldable one that I carry in my purse) and sunscreen!  It was really easy to stay distanced but we had masks on whenever we couldn't be distanced.  The area with all the rocks was so fun for my adventurous girls to climb! Which reminds me pack a first aide kit (I love this one and just add wipes and antibiotic cream, and boo boo oil to it).

I am hoping we can find other gems like this that we can safely visit this summer, so please send any recommendations over! The girls are hoping to ride horses, see more animals, go on a boat and camp this summer. Do you guys make a bucket list of places or things you want to do? I am thinking we need one!

We are also in Danvers, MA for the summer so please send me any and all recommendations for this area, any good sushi? Yummy coffee places? Homemade donuts?

My mom and sister spent a few nights in Rockport, MA this week and they could not stop raving about it. Yummy food, really cute town and I think I may plan our little getaway there too!

I have listened and read to a few books in the last couple weeks!

After & After We Collided both by Anna Todd, are a part of 5 book series that I really loved! If your looking for a steamy beach read these are them!

And since I am zipping through my credits I have been searching for included in subscription books to listen to and listened to both

Call Me Maybe & Sweet Talk by Cara Bastone, short and really easy to listen to rom com books.

I've downloaded Leave the World Behind by Rumaan Alam and want to listen to it this week on my walks.

And for books, this house has soooo many so I'll actually be squeezing in some classics as well as books from their bookshelf!

The Choice by Nicholas Sparks, I love his books and this did not disappoint. Had me in tears and zoomed through it in two days.

Princess Bride, true classic that I have never read!  I plan on watching the movie when I finish the book today.

Trader Joes is super close to our summer rental and well now I want to try everything, including these new snacks.

Saw this article on a favorite website of mine and needed to share, as I strongly believe that American Jews Need Allies Against Antisemitism

We watched

Dog Gone Trouble as family movie night and it was so funny, the girls loved it.

Sleepover

Spy Kids, the girls are obsessed with this series. We got them little walkie talkies and they pretend to solve mysteries all day!

I haven't watched much since I have been reading but I want to watch

Blue Miracle on Netflix tonight and

I heard that Mare Eastown on HBO

and want to watch Made For Love, a series also on HBO and based on a book!

Have you watched anything good that I need to see?

You can shop all of my shopping boards here,

1. Angie's Set

I saw this set and really want it! Feel like it can be worn separately but especially special as a set!

2. Lounge Chair

I know this is a rental but I really want a couple of these for the yard when the girls are in the pool or playing, it would be nice to have this to read on!

3. Skort

I have been wanting a denim skirt and ordered this one to see how it fits, the safety of a skort makes it mom-outfit material!

4. Washable Leopard Rug

I am designing a kids craft/playroom for a friend and just sent her this washable rug, fun, not kiddie and practical.

AND ON SALE

5. Window Birdfeeder

We got this for the girls school room and it's so fun to watch them warm up to it! Perfect for our summer Nature Study theme!
