It has been a fulfilling start to the year with a growing clientele, continuing partnerships, new collaborations in the community and greater awareness of creative and expressive arts in the Carolinas.

Update on Music Therapy Groups:

• Social Skills Group for teenagers began meeting weekly on 2/25/19.
• Social Skills Group for 8-10 year olds is finishing their ten week program this month. If you're interested in enrolling in the second series for spring through the first week of June, let us know.
• We are awaiting enrollment of two more young adults in a Music Therapy Group at our location. If your loved one with an Intellectual or Developmental Disability may be interested in participating, contact us to discuss the Intake Process.

CLT Neighborhood Drum Circle: 2/23/19

What an AWESOME event led in partnership with NAMI-Charlotte and graciously hosted at Providence United Methodist Church. Thanks to the individuals who shared about the event on social media and those able to attend despite the rain-filled weekend. Volunteers Ellie & Kara from PMT plus undergraduate music therapy students from Queens University of Charlotte were tremendously helpful. It truly was a diverse drum circle with neighbors ranging from infant to older adult. Creative Mornings/Charlotte provided the micro-grant to support the event. With donations accepted at the door and PMT's financial gift to NAMI-Charlotte, they received $80 to further their mission in CLT.

For over five years we have been privileged and honored to provide music therapy treatment and music instruction in the Carolinas. PMT's Staff of music therapists work at their South Charlotte Location that opened in 2017 and regularly visit schools, agencies and residential programs in Greater Charlotte. Currently available appointment times at PMT's Clinic and Studio are on Mondays, Thursdays & Saturdays.
