Street Improvement Projects

Summary: Street Improvement Project work began 28 November 2022, on Crown Road. As part of the current WP Street Improvement Project, the first roads will be reconstructed with cement and include the following areas: Crown Road (from Ranch House Road south to the city limits); Sam Bass Road; Ranch House Road (from Crown Road to Vista); Kingsgate Road (from north of the bridge to the top of the hill).

Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program

Summary: TxDot (Texas Dept of Transportation) is holding a virtual public workshop to provide information about "rural public transportation for seniors and individuals with disabilities." The Friday, 02 December virtual workshop will include transportation options in Parker County and surrounding DFW counties.

New Congress will feature few leadership roles for the many Texans in the U.S. House

Summary: New US Congress will feature few leadership roles for the many Texans in the U.S. House. Roger Williams, the US House Representative for Texas District 25, which includes Willow Park, will become the Chair of the US House Small Business Committee.

Texas Partisan Index for Counties Post-Midterm

Summary: Republicans swept each statewide office this year by double-digit margins. The Texan's Texas Partisan Index - an average of all statewide results in a series of consecutive election cycles - pegged the state's partisan leaning at R-54%. After this midterm, that rating moved to R-56%.
