What’s Happening

Yes, I know, I was a little bit slow out of the blocks with this month's newsletter but I thought I'd squeeze one in before December. I have had a very busy month with lot's of travelling, live streaming, gigging and radio interviews for my new single, Time. Thank you so much to all the wonderful country broadcasters who are playing my music especially DJ Dax from Country Thunder Network in Hong Kong where Nice To See You and Time have both had chart success.

I'm returning to LoveHz Studio this month to work on some more new songs for my upcoming album. Michael Carpenter and I are having so much fun bringing these songs to life and I am so proud of the work we're doing. I can't wait for you to hear it but you'll have to wait until next year for the full album. In the meantime, I hope you're enjoying the first two singles, Nice To See You and Time. Both of these singles can be bought and downloaded from my website or wherever you get your music online.

While you're there, have a look at my range of merchandise. CD's, stubby coolers, 2021 calendars all make great stocking fillers for Christmas!

My Picks

Last week Dani Young was kind enough to invite me back onto her FB Live TV show, Celebrity Country Music Wiz. I am happy to say I redeemed myself from my previous effort and actually won this time! It really is so much fun so go ahead and test your country music knowledge every Wednesday night at 7:30pm.

The Duke of Enmore has started having a country Happy Hour with live bands and guest DJ's. "Happy Hour with Mr Hearts" is on every Friday 4-7pm. I'm hoping to get along to check it out this week. See you there!

The Big Question

Question 4: What is your favourite country ballad?

So hard to pick one because there are so many great country ballads. Two spring to mind. For singing, you can't beat "Crazy". For listening it would be "Water On the Ground" by Brad Cox. Last year I caught Brad's show at Tamworth Country Music Festival. It was a very special moment when he did this song with everyone in the crowd singing the final chorus and then it poured down rain! I don't think I was the only one in tears.

Send me your answer to the Big Question by reply email or message me on fb and I'll put it in the next newsletter.

Answers to last month's Big Question.

Q. What country song makes you want to get up and dance?

  •  Running Bear - Noni Burton

One last thing before I sign off, I have to send a shout out to Ronnieboy at 2RRR 88.5Fm for not only playing my music, but after our chat on air he played Calling Baton Rouge for me - which was my answer to last month's question!

Thanks Ron.

I hope everyone is doing ok and staying safe.

Bye for now,

         Michelle XX
