Letter from Kaitlin
 
Dearest Sisters,
As we wrap up the 2019-2020 program year, I am so grateful for all of you, your time and your efforts. I am also extremely grateful for those sisters who served on the 2019-2020 Executive Board alongside me.  It has been my honor and pleasure to serve as President for the Alpha Xi Delta Houston Alumnae Association for the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 program years. This role has been an opportunity for me to engage with new sisters and assist the association in growth and development. As we begin to look ahead to the 2020-2021 program year, I am excited and thrilled for all of the things to come from all of you and the new Executive Board and Committees.
Before we move forward, let’s not forget to look back and highlight some of the top accomplishments of the 2019-2020 program year and Executive Board.
Website: Created a brand-new site that is more interactive for sisters and is filled with lots of information, events, and resources. Kudos to Jill Silman Chapman for this one!!
Social Media: Moved to one page to streamline communication and updates. Ramped up the posts about events and opportunities to check in and interact with one another. 
Bylaws: Updated and revised from the 2014 version.
I hope you all are staying well in these unprecedented times and I am counting down the days until we can be together in person at the upcoming program year events.

HAPA Update

Although COVID19 cancelled the annual HAPA/HAPF Scholarship Luncheon, the organization awarded 22 scholarships totaling $71,500! The HAPF Scholarship Program exceeds ONE MILLION DOLLARS in funds given in the last 33 years!
In true AXiD fashion, two sisters won door prizes for the luncheon that wasn't.  Congratulations to Monica Broughton and Darah Eckert.  Both won $100 gift cards to Nordstroms!

As HAPA celebrates it's 90th year, AXiD Ivonne Delgado has been installed as First VP of the organization.  She will ascend to HAPA President next year.  In anticipation, we would like to present a special Alpha Xi Delta Scholarship and are raising funds for that gift now. We currently have $845 towards our goal.
