hide and seek ministries

The Sunday School curriculum for the class we teach was discussing Jesus healing a man's hand on the Sabbath. The lesson suggested that we help kids empathize with the man and have them try to tie a shoe with only one hand. I thought this sounded like a good idea, and as I started preparing for this the Holy Spirit spoke to me. He said, Stop giving children the perspective of the one needing healing. Instead, help them see themselves as the one doing the healing through Christ.

“...walk as Jesus walked.”  1 John 2:6

Now, take this same concept and apply it to other areas in your life. Is your worth found in your job, your looks, or the things you have or don't have? Are the decisions you make affected by what others might think of you? What is your perspective of you?

If you've given your life to the Lord, Christ is in you. His righteousness, His power, His love, His wisdom. God made each one of us unique and for a specific purpose. Don't compare yourself with other people. Instead, look in the mirror and say, I am the righteousness of God. I have been given power and authority, and I can do all things through Christ.
