We had the privilege of going to India and visiting both Houses of Hope, in November 2023. The families have grown up so much since we last saw them. We all had a lovely time and shared a meal together. Between courses we shifted places! We gave each of them some money to buy something for themselves…it was so lovely to see, they also bought gifts for their parents. |

We were able to stay with Devraj & Saroj, their family are now nearly all grown up! It's amazing to see that those who are working or training have gone into Caring professions, such as Nursing, Pharmacy and Hotel Management. |

Their home is surrounded by farmers’ fields and mountains; they have an awesome view from their landing window; Mark has encouraged them all to go walking. What an awesome place for the family to be able to live. The older ones are busy training and studying. |

Ayushi (left) was able to come and see us, she is now qualified as a Nurse. Varsha is halfway through her Nurses training, whilst Joy has just started training to be a nurse too. Parvind is training in Hotel Management (currently on secondment to a Raddison Blue hotel in Delhi) and Satish is studying Pharmacy. It's such a joy seeing them grow up and going into different professions. |

We took time to visit Roshni, this is an Educational Project that helps younger children have a good start to their development. Neha is doing an amazing job, as well as supporting some of the parents too. She told us how some of the Mums are now learning to read and write, alongside their children. How good is that! |

Years ago, Julie’s Mum sponsored a lad called Rajender, he and others came to see us, it was so good to see them all. They chatted about how they used to really look forward to our visits, at least once a year, as we’d buy them all goodies. We can recall hiring an ice-cream van, everyone enjoyed that day! We would also buy them many other things like cricket bats and several ball which was a welcome upgrade from them using a stick and a stone! Rajender is now a qualified nurse, he works in a Christian Hospital in North India. It reminded me of the story of Samuel in the Bible when his mother would bring him a new outfit each year. |

We are planning to travel to Bangladesh next month to see George, Biva, and their amazing family. Their eldest son Joy is now qualified as a nurse, working in Chittagong. We only travel to Bangladesh once a year so we often use What’s App in between trips to keep in touch. Seeing them face to face is so much better! |
