Economy of Grace

Secure, content, competent, reasonably happy and fulfilled, such persons of economic strength go their own way in life without any need of Jesus Christ or his church. If pressed, these folks might say they're Christians, but church attendance is non-existent. Maybe this sounds like your neighbors who own a lake cottage, that couple you know that takes a vacation to a tropical destination every winter, or your family member who drives a shiny nice new car every two years. Our hypothetical person's 2.5 kids seem to be academic stars, their marriage is altogether perfect, and generally speaking, they're doing quite well in life. Essentially--what does the Gospel of Jesus Christ say to someone who has everything and is living a happy and fulfilled life? Over the next three weeks we'll be looking at this very question and discerning how the Economics of GRACE impacts EVERYONE. Join us in person or online at 9:15 am or 10:45 am.

Green Bag Day

Hilltop collects non-perishable food donations for the ECHO food shelf monthly. We invite you to pick up a "Green Bag" this Sunday, fill with grocery items and return the following Sunday. Monetary donations also accepted in the offering box (write ECHO on the memo line of your check.)

Job Opening at Hilltop

We are looking for a church custodian to support the church’s mission and ministry by maintaining a clean and tidy church facility. This part-time position is flexible and works about five hours a week. More information can be found on the church website at: mankatohilltop.org/job-openings.

We Need Your Input About Our Future Building Plans!

After careful prayer about the future of our church facility, we would appreciate your input into the proposed plans for our church. We are very excited about the possibility of expanding our church facility in order to better fulfill our mission.

You may view large architect plans in the narthex, and you may also watch our Town Hall meetings which were held November 14, 2021 and April 10, 2022.

We kindly ask that you complete a survey to provide your input.  Paper surveys will be available May 8 at the church, or an online survey may be done by clicking HERE.

If you have any questions, please contact Michelle, Pastor Matt, Art Keith, or Don Putzier.

One Long Table

The last weekly community meal is on May 25, and we take this time to celebrate being able to gather together at one table following two years of pandemic isolation. The meal will be served to you while you enjoy conversation with those around you. We will have events on the last Wednesday of each month throughout the summer. Watch for the postcard!

Grill Masters Wanted

Our first summer event, Getting Sauced at Church, takes place on Wednesday, June 29, and we already have several teams signed up. If you like to smoke meat and want to compete for a traveling trophy, contact Pastor Matt by June 1.

Hilltop Men's Softball

Come cheer on our Men's softball team at Caswell Park (1875 Howard Dr W, North Mankato, MN 56003) on Monday nights. On May 16, they face New Creation Church on Field 6 at 6:15 pm. The schedule can be found on the church calendar at mankatohilltop.org/events.
