There is no doubt that the debate is warming up and is likely to get hotter as the year proceeds: time for The Brisbane Dialogues to conduct a cool, calm and collected discussion. The dialogue will be framed along the lines of:

“We may never agree on a lot about climate change - like nature, causes, severity, urgency - but what might we agree to do about it in practical policy terms, e.g. on energy policy, green tech, funding, adaptation, conservation, development aid?”

This is not an event for those who want a scientific or political debate, or any debate. Our purpose, as always, is to hear three experts with very different views state and discuss their differences, certainly, but only as a lead-in to an exploration of common ground and possible agreed solutions.
