Thoughts of the Week We have finally got ourselves an author logo! It is shown above. We hope you like it? We will now use it at the top of our newsletter and will display it on our social media. We think the look and tagline suits us, as all our writing has romance in it, but also contains darker elements such as the twists of fate, dealing with trauma, and carving out a place for yourself in a hostile world. As we may have told you before, we were undiagnosed twins so my mum got a huge surprise when, after Rebecca was born, she got labour pains again and the midwives suddenly discovered there was another one coming! We feel so very blessed to have each other and, perhaps because of our surprise birth, we believe that, often, the best things in life can be unexpected or unplanned and this is a theme that runs through a lot of our writing. We are now fairly close to finishing the third book in our romantic fantasy trilogy. Obviously, there is a lot of work still to do in terms of editing, getting feedback, etc but we think we have found an amazing cover designer and it is all starting to get very exciting! When we are closer to finishing, we will tell you more about it and we may start sending you exclusive extracts. As loyal subscribers, we would love it if some of you would consider becoming beta or ARC readers! We have now also set up some new Facebook Groups, so if you would like advance access to book offers and enjoy talking about romance and/or thriller books, we would love to have you! Just click on the groups named below: HEAPS OF THRILLING BOOKS HEAPS OF ROMANCE BOOKS After what seems like a century, the days of lockdown and winter weather are finally starting to wind down, here in the UK, and some early signs of spring are beginning to peek through. Sending our thoughts and best wishes to you. Hopefully, we've all got sunnier days ahead in every way. |

What we're Reading this Week Rebecca Fuel to the Flames by Joanna Rose I couldn't resist another firefighter romance and this didn't disappoint. Perhaps I'm odd but I loved the fact that the hero has the same name as one of my favourite animated characters, Sully (out of Monsters Inc)! Sullivan (Sully) is a firefighter working for Engine 10. He is training the first woman firefighter, Shailene, and the fact that she is strong, capable and is doing what is still, by some, considered to be a man's job, appealed to me and reminded me of the theme of female empowerment, which also runs through our latest endeavour. There is an arsonist who is keeping Engine 10 on their toes and it seems that they are targeting Shailene. Added to the suspenseful element of the story, is the connection between Sully and Shailene, which eventually blazes out of control! This story definitely kept my attention and Joanna Rose spins a story sizzling with mystery, romance and action. You can find this book on Amazon FREE with Kindle Unlimited and only £2.19 or $2.99 to buy. Just click HERE or on the book cover above. |

What we're Reading this Week Victoria These two books both intrigued me and are on my TBR list. I have not decided which to read first, yet, as I am not sure whether I am in the mood for a slow-burn romantic suspense or something more quirky and amusing. Either way, I'm very sure either one will help to put a smile on my face. I'll give you more information about them and you can decide for yourself! |

| | Confident she's too savvy to get taken, Jane leads an annoying spammer along a trail to nowhere...until one morning she wakes up to find the tables have turned. As the spammer's demands grow increasingly dangerous, Jane realizes she's in way over her head. There's only one way out, but can she pull off the deception against the foe she gravely underestimated? Review "Jane is a likable character and it’s easy to relate to her. She’s innocent and has only the best intentions, but doesn’t realize how little she knows. If the other books in this series are equally funny, count me as a fan." | | |

| | When Eve Beaumont and her twin brother, Trav, go into town to collect supplies, they each bring home a drifter for Christmas. Rhys Archer and Simon Haldon are as different as two cowpokes can be. One rough-edged who can work the land and animals with a firm hand; the other a smooth talker with a devilish charm. Eve finds both men attractive but when tragedy hits the ranch, romance is the last thing on her mind. Review: "This was a book that pulls the reader right in. The story gives us romance, as Eve interacts with the two men, and suspense as we see someone is up to no good. It will definitely keep the reader intrigued trying to figure out what’s going on. Grab your copy and enjoy while trying to guess which man Eve has her eye on!" | | |
