The cities of Piraeus and Burgas announced new competitions, so now all the partner cities have their plan to award innovation in Blue Economy and support the startups of their area in the field. You can check all the competitions in the following link.

What the hack is a hackathon?

Blue Growth Piraeus

The Municipality of Piraeus, with the cooperation of the University of Piraeus, are organizing the Blue Growth Piraeus Competition to award entrepreneurship in Blue Economy. Registration is open until the 20th of March.

The BluAct Matosinhos Startup contest finished and the winners were granted with a €5000 check!! Now the incubation period is starting for the 3 winner ideas: Bioworld, PINKTech and Blue_container

Starting Up the Blue Economy!

BluAct is a network of 7 European port cities including Piraeus (Greece), Matosinhos (Portugal), Burgas (Bulgaria), Mataro (Spain), Ostend (Belgium), Galati (Romania), and Salerno (Italy) aiming to share good practices in Blue Economy entrepreneurship. The project is funded under the EU’s URBACT III programme, which helps cities to develop sustainable, pragmatic solutions, integrating economic, social and environmental urban topics.
