PMT is excited to return to Pineville's 2nd Annual Arts in the Park Festival on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

Join Molli & Gretchen for a music filled morning as they'll lead the morning program from the outdoor stage, 10:00 - 11:00am. The event is rain or shine.

“Music is a great tool to assist with your well-being...", “The workshop helped me learn how to deal with myself...", “Found music vital for coping..." and “Music and singing relaxes me."

End of School Year Spotlights:

Music therapists on staff facilitated group sessions in the classrooms year round at St. John's United Methodist Church - Rock Hill Special Needs Preschool. The students worked hard on coping skills, self-expression, and problem solving through music therapy based experiences.

Additionally, Mrs. Reinhardt, MSEd, MT-BC, Neurologic Music Therapist returned, through the generosity of the Fort Mill Middle School PTO, to lead a short series with students in a self-contained classroom. Her ability to support "classroom participation skills progress... communication levels of students, and tailoring the therapy sessions to students' students’ strengths and weaknesses" was noted by the Special Education Teacher.

PMT looks forward to attending an upcoming event, Chasing The Wake: 2nd Annual Memorial Event on Sunday, May 28th from 4-8pm.

The Chase Huechtker Foundation promotes the sport that their son loved the most, wakeboarding, as a healthy outlet while also raising awareness surrounding the epidemic of opioid overdose and reducing the stigma associated with mental health and substance use disorders.

More details about mission work is here.

Registration is still open for this month's Meet & Greet for area counselors and therapists at PMT Main. To RSVP for the in-person event scheduled on Tuesday, May 9 from 11am - 1:00pm by visting this page.

Your help sharing this event with local clinicians is appreciated!

Social skills groups will return later next month. We plan to welcome different programs for peers aged 6-8 ; 8-10 and 11-14 years with music therapy as the creative connection for socialization.

Reach out via email or phone if you are considering whether a music therapy group program may benefit your child or loved one.
