These pens were originally donated by Niki to form part of a competition she was running for members for the "Walking-It 2020" 36 mile sponsored event, which she could not undertake due to lockdown (this is being rescheduled).

She has decided to give you a chance of winning them in this competition instead.

What do you need to do?

If you have created a work of rock art during the lockdown period, share it with us to enter the competition OR

Create a brand new one for this competition.

How to enter:

• Read the rules below before you enter
• It doesn't matter if the creation has been shared on the Facebook group, via email or in the newsletter before.
• If you are a Facebook user:
  • Share your image(s), in the comments section below the post where you found these details. This post can also be found in the Announcements tab, just in case it gets lost on the main wall.
  • Images for the competition not shared in the comments will not be counted. Which means, you can share your creation in a post of its own and then add it into the competition post.
• If you are not a Facebook user:
  • Send your image(s) to us using the email address below.  In the subject, enter "August Competition" - Someone will then share it on Facebook on your behalf.
  • Ask a friend or relative to enter it for you, but they must let us know it was you who created it
• If your rock was created using a Taff Rocks online or YouTube tutorial, please let us know which one (or even include a link to it in your entry)
• You can enter as many creations as you wish.

Rules:

• You must be a member of Taff Rocks to enter. Membership can be via:
  • Being a member of our Facebook Group
  • Receiving our monthly newsletter
  • Have attended workshops in the past
  • Have received resources from us (including the craft bags)
• Parents / Carers or Guardians may enter their child's / children's works of rock art and let us know the first name of the artist and age
• The creation must have been created since March 2020
• The creation can be created especially for this competition
• The rock must be a Taff Rocks rock and not created for any other rock painting group. But if you created it to keep, you can enter it into the competition.
• Please state which Taff Rocks online tutorial, if any, that was used to help you create this work of rock art
• You can enter as many creations as you wish.
• Enter each creation separately
• Entry by Facebook group or email only, WhatsApp entries will not be counted or entered.
• Taff Rocks committee members and their family members, can enter. Members of the Facebook Group will vote for the winning creation.

Closing Date, Voting and What happens if you win:

1. The closing date for all Facebook and email entries is: Midnight on Friday 14th August 2020
2. The images will be added to a seperate Facebook Poll as soon as possible after this date - Depending on the quantity of entries, please allow a few days for this to happen.
3. Facebook Group members will have at least a week to vote for their favorite.
4. The creation with the most votes on the date and time (which will be shown in the poll when posted) will win the paint pens.
5. The winner will be notified on the Facebook group ...
6. Unless you entered via email, then you will be notified there, your name will still be announced on the Facebook group
7. You will have 14 days, from the closing date, to share your address - via Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp Messenger or in the email we sent you notifying you that you have won (to comply with our data protection / privacy policy / GDPR, this address will be deleted immediately after it is used).
8. If you do not reply within those 14 days, the 'second place' creation will be given the opportunity to receive the paint pens.
9. Remember - Entry into the competition is by Facebook group or email only, WhatsApp entries will not be entered.
10. Taff Rocks committee members and their family members, can enter, because members of the Facebook Group will be voting for the winning creation
    • Nicola aka Niki will not be entering so, if you see an image from her for the competition, it is because she is sharing it for someone else.
11. DO NOT SHARE YOUR ADDRESS ON THE FACEBOOK GROUP OR PUBLIC PAGE. IF YOU DO, TO PROTECT YOU AND US, IT WILL IMMEDIATELY BE DELETED AND YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO RESUBMIT IT AS PER NUMBER 7 ABOVE.
