We are kicking off the 2024 NOW Leadership Article Series with an introduction to the theme and focus for our shared storytelling, peer learning, and skill building opportunities this year. With this year being an important election year that will shape decision making and power structures across the country, we hope you will join us as we learn together about community power and healing-centered advocacy. 2024 NOW Webinar Series: Save the Dates!

We are excited to announce our 2024 Webinar Series, The Imperative of NOW: Community Power and Healing-Centered Advocacy. In this four-part quarterly series, we will hear from community leaders sharing best practices for advocacy and community power from their local communities. 

 

Webinars will be hosted at 1:00 pm ET on the following dates:

  • March 14, 2024 - Voter and Civic Engagement

  • June 13, 2024 - Birth Equity Advocacy 

  • September 12, 2024 - Participatory Research and Measuring Collaborative Impact

  • December 5, 2024 - Local Food and Education Systems Transformation

2024 Data Storytelling Workshop Series

Join Vital Village Networks for the free, virtual Data Storytelling workshop series and build your capacity to create and share stories that support social change using data tools. Workshops will focus on five themes for collecting and sharing information that highlight community assets and leverage community strengths. NOW Resource Library Feature: Trauma-Informed Policymaking Tool: A Policy Approach to Preventing and Healing from Trauma

From the Illinois ACEs Response Collaborative - Health & Medicine Policy Research Group, this brief handout outlines six principles of trauma-informed policymaking. With each principle is a series of prompts that policymakers and other community members can use for collective accountability to create healing-centered policies.
