Happy Buy Nothing Day!

How funny is it that Black Friday and Buy Nothing Day are the same day?! Do whichever you prefer!

The Weekly Poll Results! 🎈

Okay, this poll was a hit compared to the poll before this one! Sesame Street holds a special place for so many people and the characters are classic and timeless! With so many iconic characters, who is the favorite? It appears that there are three that came out on top. Those three are... Cookie Monster, Bert and Ernie, and Elmo! These three are def icons but, we need one winner! I've decided that the winner will go to the person who probably loves Thanksgiving the most... Cookie Monster!! Is really here for it when dessert comes out!

Friendly Reminders and Affirmations

  • If you are injured, take time to let it heal and figure out how to workout in a safe way.

  • You probably changed over the years which means other people have too. You don't really know them just based on their past.

  • Don't keep tradition for tradition's sake. Figure out why that particular tradition is important to you and why you want to keep it going.

  • Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway: Magical. This show is absolutely magical. The effects were enchanting and even though the run time was 3.5 hours, I was in it the whole time. You def need a Harry Potter refresher before you see it but, it is a spectacle to watch.

  • How to Dance in Ohio on Broadway: This show is so cute, heart warming, and fun! It is bringing something much needed to Broadway and really brings in so much inclusion. It is a sweet precious show and I would recommend a trip to see it!

  • Spamalot on Broadway: Okay, this was simply just FUN! The story is silly goofy fun. The Lady of the Lake can SANG! It was just a really fun time at the theatre.

Conversations with My Thoughts

25

25. There’s a funny feeling associated with it, not a bad feeling, just a funny one. At 25, I am exactly where I want to be yet somehow not even close to where I want to be. As I move, there is that ticking noise of a clock getting louder signaling that I’m getting closer to when things become cemented yet, there is still so much time. Time. There is a lot of it but, it begins to take flight moving quicker and quicker making months and years zip by faster than ever before.

25. That funny feeling. The feeling of getting older but somehow being still so young. Reflecting and reminiscing on the past lives that I lived while knowing I have many more lives to live. Seeing all the regrets, the would’ve, could’ve, should’ves and still finding ways to keep going. Having accomplished those past dreams that I never thought I could and starting to search for new dreams to live. Maybe even resurrecting an old dream that I had once thought to retire.

25. It’s funny. The desire to live a more stable and secure life but, still addicted to chasing chaos. In search of stable chaos, comparison bubbles to the surface. I compare externally to peers walking their life path. Some similar. Some different. I see friends getting married, having kids, going back to school, starting all over, finding their dream job, or going on a quest to rediscover themselves. Somehow I want what I see but, not in that exact way because what suits them doesn’t necessarily suit me. So, I compare where I was to where I am now. I see how far I’ve come and look forward to all the places I want to go. As the chapters continue to turn, I experience clear endings and beginnings accompanied by some murky transitions.

25. Funny, isn’t it? A time when you are supposedly all grown up. The adult years are in full swing but, I still feel like a kid. I feel like I am still growing up. I mean you never really stop growing up though, do you? It’s all so funny, don’t ya think?

This Week's Newsletter Poll!

Sesame street was fun, I know! But this next one is related to Chanukah (Hanukkah? idk which is the right spelling...)! Since we can spell Hannukah in many different ways, what is your preferred spelling for the holiday?! (Don't worry - even if you are not Jewish, you can totally have a say. There is no wrong answer, truly).
