Symphony: A New, Improved Library System |
We have some exciting news! York County Library has a new integrated library system — SirsiDynix Symphony! This new ILS brings a fresh new look and an improved search experience to our Online Catalog, as well as a more robust "My Account," and — coming soon — YCL's first-ever mobile app. |
We're eager for you to try Symphony for yourself, and we extend our sincere thanks to all of our loyal patrons for your patience as we learn to navigate this new system. Rest assured that we are working hard to quickly resolve any problems you may experience. Here are some important things to remember: |
When you first log into your library account, note that your PIN/password has been reset to the last four digits of your phone number on file. If you have trouble searching the catalog or signing in to your account, checking out items, placing holds, or accessing our Virtual Library services, please continue trying or contact us for help.
Library Locker pickup is currently unavailable. All locker holds can be picked up inside your local library branch until further notice. York County Library eCards are currently unavailable until further notice. Interlibrary Loan Service has now resumed.

Please check yclibrary.org/symphony for more information and future updates. We hope you enjoy using Symphony for a new, improved Library experience! |

"PAWS" to Read with a Lovable Therapy Dog! |
Come practice your reading skills in a low-pressure, circle-style setting with a snuggly therapy dog! PAWS (Partnering Animals With Students) brings 4-legged friends to the Library to encourage young children to read out loud in front of their peers while enjoying the company of a friendly pooch. Reading aloud helps children expand their vocabulary and improve comprehension, and a friendly face — particularly one accompanied by a wagging tail — helps ease their reading jitters and build self-confidence. |
