But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid! For behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people: Today in the city of David a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord! And this will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” Luke 2: 10-12

What a reason to celebrate!  It is our prayer that this Christmas Season your entire family experiences a deeper understanding of the power of Jesus!  We pray that the celebration of His birth will allow you to reflect on the new birth we have been given through the living hope of our Savior Jesus.  We pray that you set aside those perishable things this Christmas and cling tightly to that which is imperishable and eternal.

Have a blessed Christmas!

And suddenly there appeared with the angel a great multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying:

“Glory to God in the highest,

and on earth peace to men

on whom His favor rests!” Luke 2: 13-14

Would God Recognize You and Me?

By Dr. Glen Schultz

Many years ago, I was given a book that was written by two Australian Christian educators. In their book, Reclaiming the Future, Lambert and Mitchell made a very important statement. They wrote that every kind of teaching and learning is based upon a shared vision of life. The phrase “a shared vision of life” is another way of saying a worldview.

In this simple statement, the authors were presenting a very important truth. All education takes place within the context of a worldview. This means that there is no such thing as a neutral education. In fact, all education is religious in nature and is an effort to communicate someone’s religious beliefs and values to the learner.

Legacy Christian Academy Curriculum

We have chosen to use Bob Jones University Press curriculum.  BJU Press is know for its educational materials written from a Biblical Worldview with a focus on academic rigor and encouragement of critical thinking skills.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Deuteronomy 6:5-7

Nondiscriminatory Policy: Legacy Christian Academy admits students of any race, color and national or ethnic origin.
