NOV 20-21

WORCS Round 10 Nov 20-21 Primm, NV. Great weekend for the team and a nice ending to our WORCS racing season. We want to thank all of our sponsors for supporting our efforts this season for this series and we look forward to continuing our bid for championships next season with you guys!

NICK BURSON

1ST

 PRO (USDR)

Nick made it out for the first round of his local series and was able to come home with the win. A great start to his season of racing and happy to see him spinning some laps!

In his words: "This weekend was the first round of USDR's 21/22 series and it was held at Dirt Diggers Camp in Ridgecrest CA. If there is a race in Ridgecrest out in the desert I usually try and make it happen to go race it. As well as with USDR I have raced every one of his events except for one I think.  Last year they went to a sprint enduro format but this year it was back to a traditional 5 lap race. The course was around 13 miles and I knew the speeds would be really high.  When the flag dropped I got an ok jump but was spinning really bad and found myself behind. Luckily for me my Purvines racing Yamaha pulled me to the front down the first straight away. From there it was a drag race with Nic Colangeli. We were pretty much a bike length apart for the first few miles. I could feel him right behind me and knew I couldn't make a mistake because I didn't want to be in the dust.  We finally hit some single track trail where I knew the dust would be too much and I could get some breathing room.  The course was really high speed and since I have been riding a lot more technical stuff lately it took a few laps for my eyes to adjust to the speed as well as my arms to hold on that tight.  I pulled a decent gap on 2nd place and after the 3rd lap I came in for a splash of gas. Thankfully my dad and Wife got me in and out of the pits super fast because 2nd place did not pit that lap and I was able to leave the pits right in front of him. It was another drag race leaving the pits just like the start. Again I was able to settle in and ride my pace and pull out a little gap. After coming through for another lap I glanced back and didn't see anyone. So at this point I knew that he pitted that lap and I had a big gap and could cruise the last lap.  I was able to ride comfortably on the last lap and bring home another USDR win.  comfortably on the last lap and bring home another USDR win.    "

JUSTIN SEEDS

2ND

VET PRO

7TH

250 PRO

Justin finished another solid 2nd place behind Robby. The talk of the weekend was filling in for Thomas Dunn after he broke his collar bone days before the weekend. Justin asked if he could ride 250 pro for fun and he ended up 7th in class.

In his words: "Vet pro. Started off the race in second right where I wanted to be so I could follow Robby’s lines and build into the race. But unfortunately Robby went off the track and gave me the lead. I tried to run a consistent speed and be smooth but after two laps Robby picked his speed up and got by me. I stayed close until losing it in a corner and the race was done after that.

250 pro: This was so different than vet pro for sure. I was able to get off to a top 5 start and run there until lap 2 when I messed up the pro section and dropped to 6th. After a few more laps I ended up dropping back to 7th and stayed there.  Lesson learned that I need to work on my k rail skills so I can run with the leaders"

MASON OTTERSBERG

3RD

250 PRO

Mason came back to finish the season on a high note. The WORCS series hasn't treated him too well with a few DNF's that set him back. Finishing in the top 5 of points in pro 250 was a great achievement though it wasn't the win we were all hoping for. We worked hard through the season to make it as positive as we could.

In his words: "Happy with this race. Though its another third, I proved to myself I could run down the guys based on skill that have been beating me all season. Finishing not to far off a win shows me I'm right there. Looking forward to taking this confidence into the final round of NGPC this weekend and stay in the top 3 of the championship."

TYLER LYNN

6TH

PRO

Tyler didn't feel very comfortable with his set up here. He struggled to find his flow and settled for a 6th place finish. Not ideal for him, but he is working to be better.

In his words: "Pro race race if it off to a good jump but pushed wide in the first corner and lost a few positions. I knew we had the pro section the first lap so I just tried staying with everyone and I knew I could make up some passes there. leaving the pro section I went from ninth to fifth. I put on a good charge but just didn’t have the speed of the front guys and would drop down to 6th. Good weekend for the team and ready to get after it again next weekend."

AVA SILVESTRI

3RD

WOMENS PRO

Ava was very close to finishing 2nd this round. A lapper pile up held her back from making it happen, but her skill has improved significantly.

In her words: "Finished up the last round of WORCS with a 3rd. Was running 2nd majority of the race and riding super well and finally breaking past that 3rd place but unfortunately the stars didn’t align for me that day and I unfortunately tumbled on the last lap and wasn’t able to seal the deal. One more round to go ready to get it rolling!"

CAITLYN KURTZ

1ST

WOMEN'S A

Caitlyn killed it this weekend. She had a great ride winning her class then pushing herself out of the comfort zone racing the 250 B class on Sunday to gain some valuable experience.

In her words: "Back to Primm for the final round of WORCS! My first race on Saturday I had a great start and had a solid charge through the whole race ending up first in the Womens A class. My second race I was on a super packed line and managed a mid-pack start. I did what I could to leave it all out on the track, and even though it wasn’t a whole lot, I was still happy with how I raced and ended up 16th in the 15-24 Sportsman B class. Sunday I was up early again to race the 250 B class which was the most fun I had all weekend. I had and awesome start running third through the first bend and a couple great battles. I made some epic gains and had a great time finishing 9th. On to the last Ngpc race of the year!"
