NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY - 9/28 |
National Voter Registration Day is a nonpartisan civic holiday celebrating our democracy. First observed in 2012, it has quickly gained momentum ever since. Nearly 4.5 million voters have registered to vote on the holiday to date. According to U.S. Census data from 2020, as many as 1 in 4 eligible Americans are not registered to vote. Every year, millions of Americans find themselves unable to vote because they miss a registration deadline, don’t update their registration, or aren’t sure how to register. National Voter Registration Day wants to make sure everyone has the opportunity to vote. Be sure to remind those around to check their voter registration not just on a "voter registration holiday" but often throughout the year! |

We are at a point in our organization where we need to revisit our bylaws and we would love to have your input, feedback, and ideas. Please take a moment to participate in a survey to share your thoughts about updating our AFDW Bylaws. You can read our bylaws here: https://bit.ly/AFDW_Bylaws2017 Complete the survey to provide your suggestions here: https://forms.gle/2egTZWuKCo8uRdxh6 The survey will be open for two weeks and then we will look to incorporate feedback provided on the survey, from NFDW, etc. After that, we will host “AFDW Bylaws Boot Camp” to collectively review where are bylaws stand now and where/how/if we need amendments. |
