August is here and it's time to refresh ourselves in the Word as we gear up for all the transitions of back-to-school activities.
The 2022 BQ Calendar features the Refresh template this month. You may want to give it a try during this hot, busy month! Here's a sample page that one of our young Bible Quilters shared with me last year:
I'm super excited about our theme this month because it's applicable to our daily lives in so many ways! Click this link for all the details:
The SHIELD is our featured template in the Monthly BQJ and I had so much fun completing it! Check out this post for a resource on fun stickers, including a discount code for you to use.
"Put on the full armor of God..." Ephesians 6:10-18 I started playing around with this castle wall background...we'll see how it develops! I love seeing pages from our young Bible Quilters: Have you done a page on this theme? Please share in Comments. #armorofGod #biblequiltjournal #helmetofsalv
I've been exploring scriptures on spiritual warfare through a study provided by Sojo Academy this month and have enjoyed "stitching" all these great verses together in my Bible Quilt Journal as a summary resource. We probably all have some familiarity with the "Armor of God" passage in Ephesians
Our topic in the Monthly BQJ is: Armor of God You're welcome to join us in the BQJ Facebook Group for posting of daily verses and to share your progress along the way! Here's a peek at my first page in progress.
One of our main strategies against the enemy is prayer.
I recently made a BQ page using the acronym P = Praise, R = Repent, A = Ask, and Y = Yield.
++ I decided to make some PRAY bookmarks to share with you, too!
This is a set of bookmarks with the word PRAY stacked in block letters. One page is formatted on a white background and the other page is on a blue background. Print on cardstock and personalize these 8 bookmarks as you'd like.
Nothing brightens my day like hearing from Bible Quilters who are gathering together to be creative in the Word. Check out these vibrant pages from our Alabama BQ friends! I love how they used the same Good Morning template and similar topic of Praise, yet created such unique pages. Yay, God!
The cheerful Good Morning template is one of our originals first created by my sister-in-law several years ago. It's conducive to a variety of topics and is a fun one to fill in with washi tape or colored pencils to kick it off quickly.
