Our Fall Event Success!

As you all know from our previous newsletters, our Fall event, An Evening of Promise: Bridging a Better Future Together, was on Thursday October 28th! It was to celebrate our new Vice President of the Board Sister Georgette Gavioli on her 29 years of service at St. Aloysius and to raise funds for the general operating cost of our shelter locations.

From preparation to clean up, everything went according to plan, if not better! We are beyond thankful for our volunteers and attendees for helping to make this night unforgettable!

To top it off, not only was the night great, but we raised almost $30,000 with $15,000 being restricted to cover our shelter locations! This $15,000 covers 288 days of our general operating cost of our shelter locations!

We are extremely grateful to all who bought an ad, sponsorship, ticket, and/or ornament! Of course we are also incredibly grateful to all who donated as well! Your generosity has helped our families more than you realize. So from them and us here at Family Promise of Hudson County:

Thank You!

Giving Tuesday!

November 30, 2021 is Giving Tuesday! GivingTuesday reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. The global network collaborates year-round to inspire generosity around the world, with a common mission to build a world where generosity is part of everyday life. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give.

So this Tuesday, please consider being apart of the bigger picture and donating to us to assist the community and our families!

This Year...

This year with the assistance of your generous donations we in turn assisted over 60 families, this consisted of  74 adults & 42 children through our streams of programming.

Because of people like you, we are able to ensure that these families and children remain in their homes and experience the best lives they possibly could during these times.

We at Family Promise of Hudson County would like to thank you for your continued assistance and hope you will continue to join us on this journey in 2022!

Thank You Alyssa!

In the holiday season of giving thanks, we at Family Promise of Hudson County would like to thank our Research Specialist, Aylssa Lopez for her year working with us as well as for all of her fantastic work! We wish the best for you!

Since Alyssa is moving on, Family Promise is now looking for a new Research Specialist. This is a part-time, virtual position that is great for a college student! If you are interested in applying, please send an email to Bernice at b.vanderpool@familypromisehudsoncounty.org with your resume and Research Specialtist as the subjet.
