News for the Minneapolis Lakes Service Unit

Important Notes & Dates

  • Field Day registration is closing this Saturday, December 21st!
  • World Thinking Day registration opens to other Service Units on December 31st - register soon to get your pick of countries!
  • Encampment - The first planning event (Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors) will be January 9th, 6:30-7:30 at Lake Harriet Upper. Enter door #13 on Vincent Ave or #7 on Washburn Ave. Girls will pick the theme and badge. 
  • Jester's Day Camp (Jun 22 - 26) - Registration opens January 1st.  There will be bus service from Burroughs (across the street).  Council does provide confidential scholarships for day camps. Send an email to jestersdaycamp@gmail.com to get info on how to apply.

Field Day is January 4, 2020

 

Daisies and Brownies don't miss out on this year's Field Day!   Juniors & up have exciting stations planned just for you.

 

This event is indoors.  $7 per Girl Scout and includes a custom patch.

Next Troop Leader/Volunteer meeting is Monday, January 20, 2020 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Common Roots Cafe.

World Thinking Day is Feb 22, 2020

 

Travel around the world with fellow Girl Scouts!  Individual troops will set up their own country display and feature a very short art project, physical activity, food (nut free) and/or artifacts from that country.  $7 per Girl Scout and includes a custom patch.

Minneapolis Lakes' Annual Encampment Registration Is Open!

April 17 - 19, 2020

 

Cadettes, Seniors  & Ambassadors lead this weekend at Camp Lakamaga for Brownies & Juniors!

 

Find out more and reserve your spots with a $10 per person deposit.  CSAs - register in December to get in on the planning action beginning in 2020.

Jester's Day Camp at Camp Lakamaga

June 22 - 26, 2020

Registration open January 1st!

 

For Girl Scouts in Grade K - 12.

Cost is $215 (register by 4/15) for the week and includes lunch, snacks and bus service from South Minneapolis (Burroughs).  This year's theme is Color Camp.
