Postcards to Maine Voters!

Sign-Up to Write Postcards

Neighbors United for D.C. Statehood commencing a postcard writing campaign to Maine Voters. This initiative will be for D.C residents & statehood supporters around the country to write postcards directly to Maine voters asking them to call Sen. King and request that he cosponsor the D.C. statehood bill. We believe a steady flow of phone calls to his office will finally result in him cosponsoring this bill. We are partnering with Democracy Maine on this project and have their full support.

Initially, we will be writing & sending 2,500 postcards to Maine voters over the next several weeks from a list supplied to us by Democracy Maine consisting of highly active voters (people who vote, make calls, send emails, etc.). After that they can share contact information for at least another 7,500 voters in ME. We need volunteers willing to write postcards! We can use your help whether you can write 25 postcards or 250 postcards over the next month.

If you're interested in writing & sending postcards to Maine voters please fill out this form.

We will provide you with postcards, a script, extra talking points, and the names and addresses for Maine voters. You'll be responsible for handwriting each postcard, paying for postage, and mailing the postcards in a timely manner. The sooner you sign up to write postcards, the sooner we can get you names & postcards!

We will be hosting a kick-off meeting about this initiative on Wednesday, February 2, at 7pm. Please register here to join our Postcards to Maine Voters kick-off meeting.

Our first postcard will highlight the neighborhoods in D.C.
