The movement grows

We've been happily overwhelmed by the positive response since starting to host our Kitchen Table Conversations (KTCs) just over a month ago. We've spoken with people from  Dee Why, Cromer, Belrose, Frenchs Forest, Narrabeen, Mona Vale, Bayview and Avalon. Already, over 100 locals have shared their voices with us at a Voices of Mackellar Conversation and our subscriber base is increasing daily.

See below for more info on how you can join or host a KTC.

In the news

Anne Davies' article in the Guardian on 21 Nov 2020 outlined the various Voices groups, including Voices of Mackellar, that have now formed in many electorates  showing that people from all over are wanting to be more engaged with how they are represented.

Voices of Mackellar is not affiliated with and is independent from any of the other  groups. Each group has its own purpose and objectives. It is not the role of VOM to seek candidates for election.

Our mission is to find out what's important to our community -  our uniting values and concerns - with the aim of encouraging political representation that puts the community first.

VOM is a non-partisan inclusive community group and we welcome participation by everyone in the Mackellar community.

Voices of Mackellar

for locals by locals

Share your voice & we'll make it count

A few Mackellar voices we've heard so far:

"No one has ever asked me before about what's important to me."

“I feel like I should do more….I think we can all find our voice to make change happen”

“I would like to see political leaders with genuine integrity who are not just career politicians."

"I try not to get catastrophic but it's difficult."

"We live in the best place in the world. Let's keep it that way."

Over the next few months we want to speak with hundreds of people -

young, old and all those in between - spread right across the electorate.

This is not an easy task and we'll need your help to get this done!
