Gosh, we love pins. We hope you do too, because we've brought some truly adorable pins into the shop via designer Emily of Kitty With a Cupcake.
Emily invented the Pride Pals Interchangeable Pin System, in her words: "These are a series of adorable enamel pins where you pick your Pal (which includes a cute head and butt) and then your Plaques. You can add Pride Plaques, Pronoun Plaques, and Personality Plaques to share your pride with pins!"
(Check out Emily's super handy Pride Pal's Builder Tool if you'd like to experiment with all of her available pins!)
We're super proud to be sharing Emily's Pride Pal's with Edmonton, as one of only several Canadian stockists. If there's a pin from the Pride Pal's collection you'd like that isn't on our website, reach out to us on Instagram or use the contact form on the website! Our stock of Pal's from this first order is a bit limited (we need to gauge demand!) so put your order in soon if you're eyeing them. |

Pop-Up at Lyall's Marketplace |
|
|
Come and see us at our next pop-up on August 31st! We'll be showing up at Lyall's Marketplace in Manchester Square and hanging around from 10AM-6PM. We'll be bringing lots of new stock from over fifty new book titles, our first ever prints (keep your eyes on Instagram for sneak peeks) and of course, whatever we have left in Pride Pals!
Lyall's has graciously agreed to host us on the main floor to ensure we're wheelchair accessible. |

Are you more of an audiobook person??
We get it. Luckily, you don't have to support Amazon with your audiobook subscription, you can support *us*. Make the switch to Libro.FM using the link below, and your audiobook subscription and purchases will support Alphabet Soup Bookstore! We'll do our part by including audiobook links on our product pages, and curating playlists on Libro.FM so you can always find a great queer book to listen to. |

Moon Dust in My Hairnet by JR Creaden (they/them) follows an autistic, queer lunch lady as she adjusts to life and changing relationships on a brand new lunar settlement. When their lives are threatened by a corporate overlord, Lane bands together with family, friends and partners to rise up and save their community. This is a wonderfully hopeful and inclusive book with diverse disability and polyamory representation, perfect for fans of progressive, thought-provoking science fiction. Moon Dust in My Hairnet is the first book published by Edmonton's own Mythic Roads Press, an independent book publisher with a focus on highly engaging and memorable fantasy, science fiction, and romance. |
