Social calls As well as providing care for more complex care one of our popular services is social calls. Our calls are tailored to the individual, helping our clients complete tasks they have always enjoyed but may not have the confidence/capability to do so anymore. As carers we really see the benefit of these calls, not only to build a strong rapport between client and carer but also so much enjoyment for our clients who often spend many hours alone. This month we have attended with our clients Singing for the brain (a community class based in (Offerton every 2 weeks on a Wednesday) Visits to Handforth Dean shopping centre Airport café Walks around the local parks Trips to the garden centre

The word 'dementia' describes a set of symptoms that over time can affect memory, problem-solving, language and behaviour. Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia. If you or someone close to you is worried that your symptoms could be signs of dementia, use Alzheimer's Society checklist to help describe your symptoms to a GP or health professional. | | |
