Hope that you all have been having such a good weekend. We have been enjoying the big spots of sunshine in the middle of all the rain showers. I hope your gardens (or neighbor's) have been coming alive with blooms! Yesterday I went on a boat excursion with the Arts Build and Tennessee River Gorge Association and mother nature is bursting with lush greens. I have been to a lot of overlooks on Signal Mountain but it is just an all immersive experience to be in the river gorge on a boat. I am so thankful that I was invited (and also can't wait to go back!) |

April has been a busy one! There have been quite a few pieces to go out the door, whether by sale or donation/gift. No matter the case, the exchange of energy is always so fulfilling to me. 'Delivery Days' are by far some of my most favorite days. Some big and exciting news is I have taken a position with the ArtsBuild in Chattanooga as a 'neighborhood artist in residence.' This is an 18 month residency where I am apart of a small team of local artists helping facilitate conversation about climate change and neighborhood resiliency through our chosen projects. I am really looking forward to getting to know and connecting with the community I am living in after spending so much time in a studio by myself. |

I continued on with my crystal pieces and had some gorgeous amethyst come out! Honestly, it has just blown my mind and I hope to back track my steps and duplicate the process. What I thought was a failed attempt ended up being the most gorgeous piece yet! Needless to say, I'm a little obsessed!! |

This month, I varnished some paintings for the first time ever. I can't believe after all the years of oil painting I've never sealed a single one and after seeing the results, I'm excited to get them all done and see the true depth of the colors. Soon these will be available on my website...you will be the first to know :) Just need to figure how to not have a glare from the gloss varnish!! |

We celebrated a lot this month :) From the first of April being our engagement anniversary, to my birthday on the third, new work, and selling of works. It seems after the long months of winter life has begun to open up again and the seeds of intention are starting to sprout with life. We leave for New Orleans in a few days and I could not be more excited to go for the first time. I will be sure to report back on the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Sculpture Garden, and maybe the sculptures from a cemetery or two. |

In the middle of the month, I went to a beautiful exhibition opening at Gallery 1401 of local artist Brett Weaver's work. His paintings were made for the painters with the bold brushstrokes. I really enjoy work like this so much, so if you are in town be sure to check it out! |

I'm a bit short-winded in this month's email, but not because I am at a loss at what to say. Its as though I have almost too much to say and am finding it hard to jam it all in one email. If you follow me on social media you know I was all around this month and I love sharing day-to-day life on their through instagram stories. If you haven't given me a follow on there (or facebook!) come say hi!! |

Wow, okay so this is one of my favorite sides. It is pretty decadent when it comes to the ingredients because its not the everyday...and that's what makes it special. This time we paired it with half a chicken pre-brined from Trader Joe's and fennel (my favorite). These rainbow carrots with pistachio//pomegranate relish is something you will always think about!
