NEWS FROM DR. REID

Dear St. Patrick Families,

Consider how he endured such opposition from sinners, in order that you may not grow weary and lose heart. (Hebrews 12:3)

I trust everyone had a Happy and Blessed Easter Holiday.

Please see the below for information about an opportunity for parents and friends of our schools to support school choice.

School Choice

On Saturday, April 29th, one of our fellow Diocesan Catholic high schools, Canongate Catholic High School, is proud to present “Toad of Toad Hall”, a musical open to all ages, at the MACS Fine Arts Center. This production is being offered FREE for the families of our community and has a general admission seating. Curtain goes up at 1pm, so be sure to arrive early to grab a great seat! For more information, click here.

The Diocese of Charlotte’s Offices of Catholic Schools and Youth Ministry invite youth, their families and friends to take up a digital challenge on Eucharistic Miracles. Students in 4th-12th grade from across the Diocese are challenged to create digital presentations of the many Eucharistic miracles that have occurred through the centuries. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

Project Acutis

Mrs. Barbara Russell, our LEAP teacher, is out on medical leave for the remainder of the school year, we look forward to having her back in August. Please keep Barbara and her family in your prayers.

A huge THANK YOU to PTO for once again beautifying our school. The flower beds are welcoming and the plants in Mary’s Garden are beautiful! Thank you PTO and volunteers.

Our Matthew Morgan students will participate in Special Olympics on Tuesday, April 25 at Charlotte Country Day. We hope they have a fun-filled day. Stay tuned for pictures.

Good News - The Cathedral is open. We are now able to attend Mass as a whole school again. Remember Mass uniforms on Friday.

Blessings,

Dr. Reid

COVID PROTOCOLS

We want to thank you for your continued support in keeping our school community safe and healthy. As we move into the second half of our school year we will be following our diocesan infectious disease policy for COVID. This means that should an individual contract COVID, they will be able to return to school after 24 hours fever free and symptom improvement. This aligns with how we currently manage all communicable diseases throughout our school communities. We are grateful for your collaboration to help maintain our safe environment.
