Dear Bitcoiners,
It has been an eventful year for the Texas Bitcoin Foundation. As we prepare to publish The Satoshi Papers, the first peer-reviewed volume of academic essays on bitcoin and political economy, we want to express our thanks to the community for your steadfast support and belief in our mission:
"To fund and disseminate interdisciplinary research and education about Bitcoin and related scientific, economic, and historical issues."
We have stayed true to that mission. The Satoshi Papers will give scholars--economists, historians, social scientists--literature to cite that helps them and their audiences take bitcoin seriously as a social, economic, and political phenomenon.
As we close out 2023, I ask you to kindly make a donation to support our mission. Your donation will go directly toward the Foundation's publication of The Satoshi Papers and related educational outreach in 2024.
The truth is that much of academia has been either hostile to or dismissive of bitcoin. The essays in The Satoshi Papers demonstrate that bitcoin is part of a long chain of human innovation around transacting value. It is not going away. And it is already transforming our received wisdom about money and the role of the state in economic life.
Chapters in The Satoshi Papers include:
Dr. Natalie Smolenski, "Towards an Anthropological Theory of Money"
Dr. Sarah Kreps, "Easy Money, Easy Wars: The Evolution of War Finance and the Emergence of Forever Wars"
Tuur Demeester, "Why Business Cycles Are Rooted in Fraud: A Classical Explanation and Definition"
Dr. Aaron Daniel, "Bitcoin: Advancing Dispute Resolution beyond the State"
Leopoldo Bebchuk, "Bitcoin and the 2023 Argentinian Revolution: Beyond Central Banking?"
Jack Watt, "Bitcoin and Credit"
You can make a donation here.
