This TX Senate (SB 377) bill will effect your phone bill. "This mechanism, would prevent consumers from being double-charge...And all this without a tax increase and in fact a reduction in phone bills for all Texans."

Texas is now home to 30 million people -- and according to the new Wilks development map they can all come here. "Growth in Texas last year was fueled by gains from three components; net domestic migration (230,961), net international migration (118,614), and natural increase (118,159).

Texas gas prices continue to rise at faster rate than overall U.S. prices

Summary: "Texas gas prices continue to rise at faster rate than overall U.S. prices. Average gasoline prices in Texas have risen 7.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.90/g today, Monday, Jan. 16... Prices in Texas are 31.2 cents per gallon higher than a month ago."

Electricity and ERCOT

Summary: "...electricity prices to average 14.5 cents per kilowatt-hour in the core winter months from December through February, which is 6% higher than last winter. The U.S. EIA released data for its short-term energy outlook last week, bringing grim news to Americans as colder months approach.

New (Interim) City Hall

Summary: The new El Chico City Hall is open for business Tuesday, 17 January, 2023. In December, the city signed a lease for a new (interim) city hall, three times bigger than the Ranch House City Hall. WPC will update this Blog with new info.
