Flat AthenaFlat Athena has been traveling nonstop this year. Her first stop was in Brooklyn, NY where Olga Moutselos #255 initiated four new girls into the order! After that, Flat Athena hopped on a train to Upper Darby, New Jersey, where she danced the night away with the Ariadni #243 chapter at their Greek Night. Then, Flat Athena begged her travel agent for an international trip. Flat Athena secured a trip to Greeks in Toronto to tour and party with some of her Canadian brothers and sisters. Upon returning home, she knew she needed some sun, so she hopped on a plane to visit her Adelphi #279 sisters in Tallahassee, FL at their Greek festival. Finally, Flat Athena couldn't miss the Bayside, NY Pygmalion #126 Halloween Party to help raise money for Kat's Ribbon of Hope. Please email Grand Governor Markella at moagrandgovernor@gmail.com if your chapter would like to request Flat Athena! Add her on Instagram @flatathena to see all of her travels! |

MOA Horoscopes AriesIt’s been a long summer filled with ups and downs in your intimate relationships. The fall equinox is a chance for you to get these partnerships back on track—especially friendships that you are longing to repair. Give your all to make things right with those you care about. TaurusYou've taken on too many projects at the same time, and it's depleted you. Use the fall equinox as the time to catch up on rest and strengthen your vibe. This will give you the energy you need. Gemini Romance is in the air, and you want to get cozy and connect with your boo on an intimate level. Make sure that you have all your favorite movies and snacks on demand as you start cuffing season on a high note with your S.O./crush. Cancer You are more inclined to spend time at home right now, which means that you may want to spruce up your dwelling with a few seasonal accessories. Grab a few scented candles to add a bit of fall flair to your home and fully embrace the seasonal vibe. Leo In the recent past, you’ve had to roar to be heard. As the seasons shift, you’re finding that people are listening, even if there isn’t a dramatic scene. You have a lot to say and the world is listening. Speak up in a kind and compassionate way. Virgo Your bank account has been on your mind for months—specifically, you want more money! The changing of the seasons gives you a chance to level up your finances by receiving additional opportunities that will add cash to your wallet. Start that side gig or send out that application. Libra You’re not one to give big declarations of emotion, Libra. However, you are learning to express yourself and cry if you have to. Opening up about your feelings can only strengthen your relationships right now. Being honest will create deeper and more meaningful bonds with people you care about. Scorpio You don’t always have to be “on” in order to have a good time. TBH, you’re finding that spending time solo is rejuvenating and refreshing. It’s okay to dip out from the world and spend time alone. Sagittarius Your friends are a source of inspiration and companionship, and you should reciprocate the love that they’re giving you right now. They care a lot about your happiness and wellbeing, so show them that you feel the same way. Capricorn Focusing on your career will give you the incentive to take leaps towards attaining your goals. You have the capacity to attain what you’re dreaming of—but you can't just sit there and wait for it to show up. Make plans and follow through on them. Aquarius You try to keep an open mind, and you like to challenge the status quo. Now is the time to let the everyone know how you feel. Not only will they listen to your words, but they’ll be swayed when you get on your soapbox. Pisces More often than not, your intuition and power scares you because it’s so strong and accurate. The fall equinox helps you acknowledge your innermost desires and tell them to the world. Don’t be shy about going after what you want! Trust your gut feelings. |

Maid to Lead The sixth annual Maid to Lead Program is about to begin! The Grand Lodge identified a group of strong leaders within our organization and will send out official nominations for this program in the coming weeks. Once these young ladies accept their nominations, they will be divided into committees, each led by an officer on the MOA Grand Lodge. Based on their performance and contributions, nominees will be eligible for selection to participate in our Maid to Lead conference in Washington, D.C. in the spring. The conference will focus on team building, leadership skills, and knowledge sharing. Nominees will get the opportunity to work alongside Grand Lodge members and have clear insight into the Grand Lodge. MOA Advisor's Corner "Happy Fall Sisters! Can you believe it’s already November? I am thrilled to be on this train ride this year with you and your Grand Lodge as the Advisor. Your Grand Lodge has been moving full steam ahead since the Supreme Convention in Orlando. They have made multiple stops in the last few months, like Virginia, New York, Toronto, oh and don’t forget that Governors’ conference in Washington DC. In this brief time, I have noticed so many wonderful qualities in you and the Grand Lodge that makes me THANKFUL to be a part of this journey. Passionate, Inspiring, Adventurous, Leaders, Proud, Humble, Accepting PI ALPHA Think about what makes you THANKFUL this holiday season? “I am thankful for…”, how will you end this sentence? Charlotte Bronte said, “There is no happiness like that of being loved by your fellow creatures and feeling that your presence is an addition to their comfort.” I cannot wait to continue this train ride and witness the awesomeness of the Maids of Athena!" -Effie Kirkiles, Grand Advisor the Maids of Athena |
