Our Train is Finally Here!
In one way it's taken just over year; in another it's a lifetime ambition achieved. Either way, we finally have our ride-on train and we're beyond excited. So, top of the list of ongoing projects now is to lay track. We don't know exactly how far it will go with the track that we have, but this will be evolving for quite some time as we eventually want to see it circumnavigate most of our land. So we'll see - we'll be learning to bend and shape track in the near future, so that's going to be fun.
The plan is that we'll be ready to take passenger on rides from next summer, date to be confirmed. We'll have some kind of launch event, we need to get our thinking caps on for that one. So here it is, introducing the Trenewydd Light Railway!
The View From...
The best views here at Trenewydd Farm are from the top of the fields. On the one side we have our FootGolf course, and on the other.... well, we decided that it would be a great place for a bench. And as you already know, we don't do things by halves here at Trenewydd Farm, so we decided to make this an extra large bench - basically, we looked up the dimensions of a standard bench and doubled it.
The idea is to create a gentle and peaceful space to admire and contemplate.. and for grown ups to swing their feet and feel like kids again! So we have a giant's bench in a fairy circle with a beautiful view. There'll be a circle of wild flowers in the spring, and it's surrounded by silver birch trees which we planted last year. Plans are on the drawing board for another oversized structure next to it... keep watching!

Lucky Cosy Cottage has a brand new hot tub. With lounger seating inside, it’s perfect to lie back and relax in Cosy’s own private garden. On a clear, starry night, even better!
