Meet the Our Panelist
Dr. Lacey Rosenbaum, PhD, MEd

Ryan Bartel Foundation
Lacey Rosenbaum, PhD, MEd, is a psychologist with expertise in mental health literacy, resilience promotion, trauma-informed care, and suicide prevention. Dr. Rosenbaum is the former director of curricula and research for Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) USA where she managed the development, research, and evaluation of MHFA curricula focused on youth including the teen MHFA initiative in partnership with Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation. Previously she managed a national program for the American Psychological Association and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention which provided capacity building assistance to state education agencies and school districts related to school climate, bullying prevention, and student wellness. Dr. Rosenbaum has a clinical counseling background engaging young people in school settings and in community-based behavioral health organizations. Dr. Rosenbaum earned her doctoral degree in International Psychology with a concentration in trauma services from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Her doctoral research was a mixed-methods Photovoice study that explored the social ecological factors that contribute to psychological resilience in young people living with HIV in South Africa. Rosenbaum has a master’s degree in mental health counseling from George Mason University, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from American University. She has several publications featuring her professional work and academic research. Dr. Rosenbaum consults with schools and organizations to promote mental health literacy and to improve access to high-quality care. She is a National Trainer for Mental Health First Aid USA and an adjunct faculty member in the International Psychology Department at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
