A Gentle Re-Opening and Fall Classes Announced

Sep, Oct, Nov, and Dec.

$100/month runs for 4 weeks.

Payment plan available: $50 deposit plus 1 payment of $50, paid every two weeks.

Register here.

Our 4 X 4 Open Studio format will be for potters to self-schedule 4-hour blocks of time, with a maximum capacity of 4 people in the studio using both rooms. We encourage you to schedule several blocks each week if your life allows it. Registrants will receive a key code, our simple protocols that outline individual responsibilities for opening and closing studio space, as well as access to a private scheduling calendar where we hope potters will be able to see who is enrolled and when.

If your course was interrupted by COVID-19, you are credited one month of 4 X 4 Open Studio access. After that the fee will be $100 per month and clay will remain at $33 per bag. We hope to offer instructional videos to help reinforce and advance your skills as you gather with friends.

If you would care to make-a-donation to MakerSphere, we are looking for sponsorships for the individual Art-Packs we send to the children this academic year as we try to hold down the cost for families.

Virtual Art Classes for Kids

Over the Spring and Summer, we have been able to fine-tune on-line learning and now we are ready to plunge into the academic year with our virtual learning art programs and your child is invited to join the fun! Enrolled students will receive a welcoming video addressing expectations and answering potential questions. We hope to provide a fun and positive virtual learning experience as well as some continuity in the chaos of the 2020/21 academic year. We look forward to spending art time with your child this year!

$180 class cost. (Payment plan available: $50 deposit plus 3 payments of $30, paid weekly. Final payment of $40.) Art supplies included. Register here.

1st and 2nd Graders: Tuesdays starting Sept. 22 at 3:30-5 pm, runs for 6 weeks via Zoom.

Instructor: Mame McKee

Our little people will do lots of drawing and painting and building together this year. Our classes will walk students through carefully designed projects to completion as we encourage their social and artistic interaction with their peers.

3rd and 4th graders: Wednesdays starting Sept. 23, 2020 at 3:30-5 pm, runs for 6 weeks via Zoom.

Instructor: Mame McKee

These grades will be Makers. Working with cardboard, papier mache’, paint, paper, tape, toothpicks and the contents of your recycling bin, we will construct all kinds of fabulous projects sure to challenge and satisfy the wonderful imaginations of this age group! There will be plenty of drawing projects as well.

5th graders and up: Thursdays starting Sept. 24, 3:30-5pm, runs for 6 weeks via Zoom.

Instructor: Sarah-Lee Terrat

This age group will start the year by revisiting the basics of drawing and painting. Sarah-Lee has designed a new approach to teaching these mediums so even repeat students will have fresh challenges as we help them fill in strong foundational work to build their art futures.
