Most of you would think that the pursuit of this Divine Self would be one of great joy, of loving experiences, of enlightened wisdom... and you would soon be deeply disappointed.
You see, the Key to all this begins with the realization that this human life, complete with all its wonderful pleasures and successes [of which there are lots and lots] ultimately is just not enough... that having achieved it, we want more, and so we begin to question what all is out there.
It’s not enough to find ‘the Soul Mate’, for now we want it to be truly the mergence of two souls, to have a life flowing in perfect harmony, to be surrounded by children, neighbors and family who equally embrace the same values, and together live a long a prosperous life.
Well... such is not our common reality.
Life out-there is nothing like it. Rather it is a place of lies, violence, abuse, anger, fear, and senseless hatred... a place where greed and exploitation rule, a place where there are small islands of honorable consciousness surrounded by a fast decline into decadence.
So...if this is the case, why should we bother, why should we yearn for the Soul-Mate, for the Path of Light and Wisdom, why should we even try ...?!!
Easy - simply because it IS the Right Thing to do... and because all this Darkness out there is the Great Lie. Many of the ancient spiritual teachings label Satan as ‘the Great Lie’... thus all that is wrong with our current reality, is in fact the work of Darkness, the corruption by evil, the abuse of power / ego / status that blinds people to be humane.
But why should we be any different ? After all, if everyone else is doing it, is it really ‘wrong’ ?
You could say that we have been ‘called to the Light’... that we know Mankind is actually better than all this... that there IS a greater Truth beyond this selfish behavior, that having glimpsed a Higher Consciousness we can no longer turn our back to it...
Or you could say that we are not sheep, placidly bowing to others’ dictates while being used and abused... that, in fact, we are Warriors of Light, called to stand firm against this Tide of Darkness, and by so doing become a refuge for others on the Path, that we’ve been called to create a Haven of Loving Awareness so we may help and support each other on this Journey of Revelation.
Are we ‘perfect’... ‘special’...‘the Chosen Ones’ ...?
Oh, heck no !! We are simply humane... truly committed to honor and respect the Breath-of-Spirit which is the very Life-within each of us.
And if we do it right...then yes, we can find the Soul-Mate, achieve mergence, be surrounded by loving people, and live a long, glorious, and prosperous life...
Because now we have truly ‘opened the door to the Self-Divine and He / She is capable of all this, and so much, much more’.
