Canada Music Week, Nov. 20-26

Our Canada Music Week Concert and annual Composing Contest were a great success this year! We had a wide variety of student entries that were exciting in their innovative style and composition. A huge thank you to Nicholas Ryan Kelly, our adjudicator and local composer. He provided an informative masterclass to our composing contest entrants, offering suggestions and critiques to help them evolve their composing skills. We can’t wait to hear the commissioned student pieces for 2023!
 

Christmas Piano Ensembles, December 12th-16th

After an extended break from Christmas Ensembles (the last one was held in 2017), the annual event made a come back! Students prepared separate parts for duets/trios, and performed them together in group classes. This was a wonderful opportunity for piano students to play together – too often piano is a solo instrument! Parents were able attend the last 5 minutes of the class, to hear the final performance!
