Jay Treaty Border Alliance,
Ahead of this year's White House Tribal Nations Summit, the Biden Administration announced several new actions to support Indian Country. Of specific interest to the JTBA, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that it will work to identify and remove barriers that impede the access of Tribal Nations and Alaska Native Villages to border-crossing and immigration rights and benefits. DHS also announced that it will provide a report to the White House Domestic Policy Council within 180 days of the Tribal Nations Summit describing its progress and recommending any new operational procedures or legal authorities necessary to support these efforts.
We look forward to reviewing this report and providing feedback as necessary.
