Jenny Deacon

Jenny Deacon is a well respected, experienced professional musician, singer, composer and Musical Director with a career spanning over 15 years. Jenny achieved a BA Hons in music from Southampton University in 2009, and has been teaching choirs professionally for almost 10 years. Over the course of her career, she has developed a unique and highly effective leadership style which inspires and elicits performances from choirs and colleagues to meet her exacting standards. Jenny has performed in some of the world’s most prestigious venues, at internationally famous festivals and many distinguished events.

FAQ's

For Sweet Charity Choir Online

  • Will I be required to leave my home?

    Absolutely not for online choir! You can sing with us from the safety of your home. We do have performances that all members are welcome to partake in. But that is completely your decision and not mandatory.

  • Can I cancel at anytime?

    Absolutely, you are free to cancel at anytime with no penalties. you will have access to Sweet Charity Choir Online until the end of the month of cancellation.

  • Where do i sign up?

    Go to the top of the page and choose whether you want to join in person or online!

  • I live near one of your physical choirs, can i attend?

    Absolutely! If any of our wonderful online members find themselves on holiday or nearby a Sweet Charity Choir physical rehearsal, they are more than welcome to come visit and join in! There will be a one of fee of £10 to pay on the door for any online members who want to rehearse in person.

  • Do I have to be able to read music?

    No! All of our tutorials are extremely easy to follow and include lyrics and MP3's. If you do read music we do have scores that you can access, but it's not a prerequisite.

  • Do I have to send in a singing video?

    Whilst we encourage our singers to take part in the joy of performing, this is absolutely not mandatory! As we perform online and in person, we encourage videos as it's nice to step out of your comfort zone and be included! However, if you're not comfortable with this there is absolutely no pressure to do so!

  • What are the performance opportunities?

    We aim to put on performances across the UK and the world, and have teamed up with True North Presents to bring you performances in the most prestigious venues in the USA and elsewhere around the globe! Whenever we have a new large-scale concert, all of our members will be able to take part!

  • Can I cancel at any time?

    Absolutely you can. This must be cancelled via your account in thinkific and you will not be penalised for cancelling. You will have access to SCC Online for the remainder of the time you have paid for! By cancelling you will also be automatically removed from our private Facebook group which is for paying members only. If you do decide you would like to come back to SCC Online you would be welcomed back with open arms anytime you like!
