Sometimes, despite peoples best efforts, there are some of the wild ones who just want no part of our human world.
Bo and Romeo are two that have not responded well to barn life, they long for wide open spaces where they can run free with their own kind.

This is one reason sanctuary is so important!

At Sacred Spirit Wild Horse Sanctuary we can provide the large space and wild companions needed for them to live a life of freedom and comfort but we must look to you for help in maintaining the way of life they so long for.

Bo is approximately 11 years old and has been living in small corrals and round pens for nearly 5 years. He is now with an experienced Mustang trainer but has not taken well to the gentling process and remains untouchable.

Romeo was taken from Red Rock Lakes HMA  in northern CA, very near us.

He was adopted by someone who fell in love with him and his wild beauty. Romeo has been sent to some of the best Mustang trainers but he, like Bo, wants no part of being a humans companion.

A portion of Bo and Romeo's sponsorships have already been pledged, they now have $25 each to go toward their futures, but more is needed to meet their needs. If we can get their feed costs covered they can join the wild herd and live life as they choose.
