Harmony Week Film and Catalyst Report launch We want to thank everyone who came down to celebrate the launch of MYAN WA's Harmony Week film and Catalyst for Change report last month. It was a great turn out, and both the Catalyst for Change film and the feature documentary, Cast from the Storm, was well received. The Catalyst for Change film will be available in the coming week to view online - so watch this space! We would like to thank all of the young people who developed the film, and especially Sadeqa Sarvari and Hadi Rahimi who spoke of experience on the night. You can read Hadi's speech here. Also a huge thank you goes to Sarah Imtiaz who was the young woman who shot all the footage and developed the film, and our supporters, the Office of Multicultural Interests and the Curtin Centre for Human Rights Education. The Catalyst for Change report includes all of the findings from the 2017 Catalyst Youth Summit and touches on a number of challenges young people face on the topics they discussed: inclusion, the justice system, violence, identity, well being. It also identifies youth-led solutions and suggests actions you can take. |
