Thankfully the sun has come out of recent and we have enjoyed some nicer weather - there is light at the end of the tunnel just like in the above photo from Venice. CC and Jeryvee are now able to get out of the house and spend time at the local park with other babies and moms. NEW PRAYER REQUESTS:

1. The Lord to use Jeryvee and CC's presence at the park among the lost.
2. More Open Doors to proclaim the Gospel - with our distributions and tracts now providing online links to our short booklets/articles
3. Potential Interns - pray for our new potential interns for this summer to work out and actually come serve with us in the following: distributions, evangelism, free ESL classes, events, small group bible studies

This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.  John 3:19-20

Recently I was getting discouraged at how we were getting little response to our latest tract distribution. We even added an online link to make it easier for people to access the free booklet we were offering; thinking perhaps the people were just to timid to reach out to us. Then in God's timing I was reminded from Scripture of this important truth from John 3:19-20.

What is the important truth? Man's depravity. In and of ourselves we are absolutely unable to come to God; we love our sin and do not want it to be exposed by God. We hate God. This is ultimately why so few are willing to respond to our tracts and why so few want to even discuss the things of God in postmodern and postchristian Italy.

What hope is there? The only hope is Jesus Christ, who alone can change the disposition of man's wicked heart through the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit, according to His sovereign will and timing. Praise God that He reached into our lives and changed our disposition by breathing new life into us when we were dead in our sins and enemies of God. Praise God that He caused us to be born again; making us to hate our sin and love the Light. Let us rest in this truth and give glory to God for what He has done. Let us keep praying for the Lord to do the same with Italians here in Mestre, Italy for God's glory alone! Amen.
