AGM and New Executive

We held our second annual AGM in Wellington on May 27th.

We were honoured to host Max Harris, author of the recently released book, 'The New Zealand Project'. Max spoke on how Universal Basic Income features in his book and the potential for a trial here in New Zealand

The Executive also welcomed four new members to its group, Melissa Selwyn from Rotorua, Tom Brian from Cambridge, Andrew Reitmeyer from Pangaroa and Richman Wee from Wellington/Dunedin.

We'd like to take this chance to thank Eleanor Kane who has left the Executive. She has contributed wonderfully to our project over the past year.

Lowell Manning, Te Rangikaheke Kiripatea, Iain Middleton, Gaylene Middleton, and Michael Kane have retained their positions.

The BINZ executive would like to acknowledge the passing of Gill Caradoc-Davies. Gill was one of the strongest and most forward thinking members of the basic income community in New Zealand.
