Founder's Day Celebration

Our Founders Day Celebration is this Sunday, November 6th at The Chase Park Plaza

Please note that our Check-In area has changed to The Zodiac Room on the 11th Floor connecting to The Starlight Room!

 

Check-In begins at 11:45am in the Zodiac Room

Lunch served at 12:30pm in the Starlight Room followed by our program

 

Don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour Saturday night so you are on time!

 

Please Note – Parking tickets will be validated for the Chase Park Plaza Garage on Maryland Avenue, Valet is $13

Founders Day Philanthropy

In support of Gamma Phi’s commitment to building strong girls, please consider bringing a new book or two that young girls would enjoy reading. These books will be donated to and continue to grow the Girls Inc. Library, part of our philanthropic efforts.

 

Limited Edition Necklaces

Phi Chapter 100th Anniversary Scholarship Fundraiser Necklaces will be available for Silent Auction purchase at Founder's Day.  See Jill Wilkis at the Phi 100 Table.  Each necklace is composed of precious and semi-precious materials, such as, pearls, amethyst, jade, coral, and onyx. Each is unique and numbered. There will be approximately 12 necklaces to bid on. Minimum bid $75 each.  

 

Write your tax deductible check to Gamma Phi Beta Sorority Phi Chapter and put scholarship donation into the "for_____" notation at the bottom left of your check.  You can also charge your purchase with Debbie Gremmelsbacher after Founder's Day has concluded.  Minimum bid $75 each.

To pay dues: go online to gpbstl.org. Click "Shop" in the menu bar. More information on ways to pay dues is inlcuded on the Shop page of the website.

Who doesn’t love a delicious cooked to order wood fired pizza?! Join your sisters for some pizza and catch up before the weekend! Not in the pizza mood?? Don’t worry!  They also have salads, sandwiches and more!

November 17, Book Club

Crazy Rich Asians, by Kevin Kwan, is the book selection for our Thursday, November 17 meeting. Travel Southeast on I-270 to Exit 2, Tesson Ferry Road/MO Highway 21

At Exit 2 take ramp, turn RIGHT onto Tesson Ferry Road.

Drive about 0.4 mi to Kennerly Drive (at St. Anthony's Hospital)

Turn RIGHT on Kennerly Road until you reach stoplight, where you will turn LEFT to stay on Kennerly. (Straight ahead the road becomes Sappington Rd., which you do NOT want).

Drive 0.1 mile to Nottinghill Parkway Drive, and turn LEFT.

Drive 0.1 mile and turn LEFT onto  Allington Dr (gated community with "villa's" sign

#4 Bayswater Road will be directly ahead, and parking is available across from villa.

 

 

All Things GOTR 

 

 

November 9th, McNair Elementary GOTR 

If you are interested in spending time with a local Girls on the Run team, Deanna's team at McNair Elementary is hosting a fun run to raise money for the school playground upgrade as their community service project. The run will take place on Wednesday, November 9 and costs $3.00.

Volunteers Needed for GOTR

Girls on the Run St. Louis has several volunteer opportunities available such as race T-shirt sorting, assisting with packet pickup, and much more. Please let Erin (stlgpbpres@gmail.com) know if you are interested and she will connect you with the appropriate GOTR contact. These are great ways to be involved with our philanthropic partner - no running involved and they only take an hour or two of your time!

Intern Help

Deanna Heuring wants to help you complete your next Gamma Phi event, children's school party, work event, or other task with the help of the Special School District Vocational Skills Program Interns! According to Deanna, these interns are looking for projects to help them increase their skill sets- shuch as rolling and tagging fundraising shirts, and creating and printing bibs for the Founder's Day Run, and perforated raffle tickets for the race entries (three projects already completed by this group).  Depending on the size of the job, most can be completed in 2-3 business days!
