Thanks for the Donations!

We extend our sincerest appreciation to the congregation of women who gathered donations on our behalf throughout the month of April. Their generous contribution of essential cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and ranch dressing is deeply valued and will be put to good use in our facility. We cordially invite individuals and groups interested in collecting donations for our cause to kindly contact us via our website. Not sure what to collect? Check out our Amazon wish list!

Staff Spotlight

Darlene Brown

Office Manager

Darlene is celebrating 18 years at Open Door Youth Services this month. She joined our team back in 2005 and has been a major asset to Open Door!

Service Spotlight

This month, we wanted to shine a spotlight on our New Directions Program. New Directions is an after-school program in area elementary schools that provides prevention education to children that has been around for more than two decades. Children often stay in the program for several years establishing strong connections with each other and staff. The children also get to experience programs, such as Kids in the Kitchen, where they are able to learn about nutrition and cooking. The program continues during the summer, where the children get to participate in social settings throughout the area in order to build strong connections and relationships with the people throughout their community.

Almost $3,000 Raised

First Capitol Christian Church has taken on the task of giving our gym a new look. New ceiling tiles, floors, and a fresh coat of paint will make our gym look new again. We have raised almost $3,000 of our $20,000 goal. We have a fundraising page set up to receive monetary donations at the button below! If you know anyone who would want to help out, feel free to spread the word!
