 I don’t know about you all, but this year is just flying by! I cannot believe that we are already into April! This has been quite an unusual winter, and I, for one, am ready for some spring weather! 

 

We are so proud to announce the McKinney-Vento Foster Care Summit, which will be taking place virtually on April 20th. For more information, please see the McKinney-Vento and Foster Care Sections of this newsletter. (You do need to be registered to attend.)

 That’s right everyone! This year’s preliminary Title I, Part D allocations are available! Please note that these numbers are preliminary—final allocations will not be released by USED until June of 2023, with a final adjustment in September of 2023.  Title I, Part D funding is based on per pupil data in conjunction with hold harmless agreements; therefore, thank you again for the timely and accurate submission of your Annual Counts in January. Below you will find the projected allocations for Title I, Part D Subparts 1 and 2 for FY 24:

Final Safe Return to In Person Instruction Plans

Happy April everyone!  Now that Winter and Spring have finished battling (smile), we finally made it to a month full of blooming flowers and warming weather.  Be sure to take time to find some enjoyment in the mist of the beautiful weather.  Outdoor activities such as morning walks, bike rides and jogging can be very beneficial to the mind and body.   

 

The month of APRIL is special for many reasons.  Below are some topics/celebrations you can have with your students/staff to celebrate the month.

 Also called: systematic diagram, tree analysis, analytical tree, hierarchy diagram.

 

Data is a lagging indicator. It's a snapshot in time that may, or may not, exist in the future. How do you know if it will exist in the future? That's a mathematical equation. Where the variables of the equation exist, under the same condition, with the same values, without the introduction of new variables, the sum of the equation will be the same. That leads to predictive analytics, with the addition of regression analytics, to accommodate new variables, and their ultimate variable value. If you can predict it, you can solve for it in advance, and you can prevent it. What is the foundation of separating a variable from a belief? That becomes quantified through a root cause analysis. Since many of our root causes are complex, with numerous variables,

and Foster Care Summit

We are always endeavoring to empower our McKinney-Vento and Foster Care Liaisons all over the great state of Nevada to provide optimal services for our children and youth experiencing homelessness.  One of the ways we do this is in providing consistent training that aligns with the Nevada STIP, our State and Federal Plans for service provisions.  This year we are offering a FULL Day of training and supports for our liaisons and LEAs on April 20, 2023.  Please save the date and register today by clicking the "Registration" button below.
